A Howe woman faces multiple charges. Deputies responded to a report of a suicidal female at an East County Road home. Wanda Moore assaulted the two deputies when they arrived, they’re okay. Moore was jailed for battery to a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Denver Mock Passes Away

A well known area lawman dies. Former Williams County Sheriff, Denver Mock served from 1967 to 1988. During his career, Mock was cited for distinguished service by the state and was considered one of the top law men in the region. Mock died in Sarasota, Florida. He was 80.
