The Executive Board of the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio unanimously agree to reopen the jail to new inmates, effective immediately. Due to a sudden flare-up of staff and inmates who have tested positive for COVID-19, the facility on April 24 temporarily suspended accepting new inmates…except for violent offenders who posed a safety risk to the public. So now, CCNO will now accept new inmates…as officials request local courts and jurisdictions continue to consider the overall inmate population, as the pandemic will continue to create the need for adequate space to isolate and quarantine.
