CCNO Inmate Dies

An inmate at the Cor­rec­tions Cen­ter of North­west Ohio died after arriv­ing at a hos­pi­tal emer­gency room early Teus­day morn­ing.

26 year old Stephen Aaron Sar­gent of Toledo, was pro­nounced dead at 6:50 a.m. yes­ter­day at Com­mu­nity Hos­pi­tal of Williams County in Bryan. He had been taken by ambu­lance from CCNO around 5:35 a.m. Tues­day.

Sar­gent had been serv­ing a 71-day jail sen­tence at CCNO for drug use. He was also being held on two pre-trial charges for domes­tic vio­lence and dri­ving with­out a license. Due to HIPAA and pri­vacy laws, no fur­ther infor­ma­tion can be released about the inci­dent, which is under investigation.
