Celestine Case Update

A Bryan man is arraigned in a Williams County courtroom on eight first-degree felonies stemming from a violent incident in November. Sammy Celestine pled not guilty to kidnapping, three counts of attempted murder and four counts of rape. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Jan. 25…his $500,000 dollar bond was continued. He was being held in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. Prosecutors say…he restrained the liberty of a female adult victim to engage in sexual activity, attempted to cause her death by strangulation, struck her multiple times in the face and head, held a steak knife to her throat and forced her to take an unknown type of pill. The four rape charges allege that on the same date he engaged in forced sexual conduct with the victim.
