Central Local Schools is looking to optimize its energy use. The Bryan Times reports the district school board last week approved participation in the School Energy Performance Contracting project proposed by Energy Optimizers. The project includes installing LED lighting in all buildings, digital HVAC controls in the elementary and middle school, plus changes to the hot water and boiler systems. Energy savings are guaranteed for the term of the loan. Officials said work could start yet this year if state approval is received.
