Charges filed in deadly wreck

A hear­ing was held this week for an Orland man who police say is charged in con­nec­tion with a fatal traf­fic acci­dent on August 22nd near Hud­son. 24-year-old Noe Munoz-Rubio is fac­ing a felony charge of O.W.I. Caus­ing Death and also Dri­ving While Sus­pended and Speed­ing. State Police in Indi­ana say the crash hap­pened on State Road 4. They say a vehi­cle dri­ven by Munoz-Rubio went off the road, hit a tree and rolled over. His pas­sen­ger, 24-year-old Christo­pher Hatch of Kendal­lville, was ejected and pro­nounced dead at the scene by a coro­ner. A pre-trial con­fer­ence has been sched­uled for Novem­ber 16th.
