Chase Lead To Arrest

A Findlay man is arrested after fleeing from police. Officers tried to stop Matthew Ekleberry for driving without an exhaust…that’s when Ekleberry took off at a high rate of speed. Early in the pursuit a female passenger jumps from the moving vehicle and was attended to by an officer. She was later released. The chase continues through Findlay and Hancock County, covering over 15 miles. An unoccupied car was struck on Howard St. by Ekleberry. The chase ends on Twp. Rd. 84 near State Rt. 12 when Ekleberry’s car blows a rod and loses a tire. Ekleberry was booked into the Hancock County Justice Center on a list of charges.
