Chase Leads To Crash In Sturgis

Steuben County Deputies are called to the Wendy’s restaurant at the Pilot truck stop on N Old 27 on a report of some intoxicated individuals. Authorities found a vehicle matching the description they were given leaving the area south bound on Old 27. That’s where officers saw the car make a few aggressive moves. They tried to pull the vehicle over…a chase instead ensues. The pursuit ends when the car ends up in a retention pond at the City of Sturgis Waste Water Treatment Plant. Controlled substances were found in the vehicle, which was stolen from Hillsdale. Three people face charges.
