Raynor Couple Case Update

A Bryan woman, accused of threatening a sheriff’s deputy pleads not guilty by reason of insanity. Rebecca Raynor is accused of aggravated menacing, a fifth-degree felony. The charge stems from a domestic dispute on April 22. Investigators say Raynor’s husband, Charles Raynor, “felt threatened” by Rebecca and fled to the Bryan Police department, where he met a deputy exiting the building. Rebecca allegedly pulled behind him and confronted both men with a loaded .22 caliber rifle in her lap. Her next court appearance has not yet been scheduled, pending the results of a psychiatric evaluation.

Meanwhile, Charles is scheduled to appear in court next week for a final pretrial hearing in a separate case in which he is accused of three counts of sexual battery. He is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a female he is taking care of. He hasn’t entered a plea yet.
