Students with an associate’s degree from Terra State or Northwest State community colleges will have a new, more flexible option to achieve a bachelor’s degree, and possibly earn credits toward a master’s degree, thanks to partnership agreements announced with Herzing University, which has a campus in Toledo. The new Degree Up program provides a student-centered, affordable educational opportunity for Terra State and Northwest State students. Degree Up students can start, stay and finish their bachelor’s degree from Herzing University while remaining at Terra State or Northwest State community colleges. The end result is a bachelor’s degree from Herzing University in as little as four years at a fraction of the price.
Terra State and Northwest State are both accredited two-year, state-assisted institutions of higher education offering associate degrees, certificates and transfer course options. Terra State, located in Fremont, is currently home to more than 2,600 students. Northwest State, located in Archbold, is serving over 3,400 students.
