Concealed weapons ok’d for designated Hicksville school volunteers

While the rest of the schools in the state wrestle with allowing guns in schools, Hicksville Schools has voted to allow certain individuals to carry concealed weapons, and post on the school doors that they will use whatever force is necessary to protect students and staff. School leaders say it was not an overnight decision, but comes after years of increasing security and taking another step. Those who are carrying are required to take extra training, including an intensive 3-day school designed training program for dealing with active shooters.
