Crash Claims Life

A Montpelier man dies in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of county roads G and 12. The Defiance Post of the patrol reports…William Goddard, 86, was driving north on County Road 12 when he failed to yield at a stop sign at County Road G. Neil McGill, 38, of Bryan, was driving west on County Road G…hitting Goddard in the intersection. Goddard was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Officials say…Goddard was not wearing a seat belt. McGill was treated at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
