Crash In Defiance

A woman was lucky after her car crashed Mon­day morn­ing in Defi­ance on East River Drive, west of East High Street. Defi­ance Police say it hap­pened around 11:30 Mon­day morn­ing, when the woman’s vehi­cle ran off the road, hit a util­ity pole and came to rest in the trees and brush along the River.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to ProMed­ica Defi­ance Regional Hos­pi­tal by ambu­lance.

Toledo Edi­son was was called in to replace the pole and restore power that was knocked out in the area. The road was closed for more than an hour while crews worked to clean up the mess.
