Crews Handle Nat Gas Leak

A gas leak alarms residents near Salem Township. Salem Fire Department officials told reporters a portion of State Road 327 was shut down for a time from HWY 20 to CR 100 South. Crews with NIPSCO were on the scene to fix the problem. NIPSCO gave the all clear for 327 to be re-opened shortly afterwards. No word on the cause of the leak. Utility officials told reporters they expect to know more on the situation in the coming days.
