Curtis Walter Fauver II, 70

Curtis Walter Fauver II, age 70 passed away Thursday, December 23rd at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, in Cleveland OH.  He was born April 09, 1951 the first of four children to Frank and Lois (Peters) Fauver.  He graduated from Wauseon High School in 1969.   He was Baptized at the Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon.

As a young boy, Curt liked the outdoors, camping, motorcycling, boating and fishing. Curt learned many things from working closely with his father on projects around the house.

While growing up Curtis loved riding his motorcycle throughout the town. Hanging out with his friends and learning about the start of politics. As he grew Curtis came to love the city of Wauseon.  Later he was Mayor of Wauseon from 1986 – 1991.  He enjoyed watching this town prosper and giving the town a vision. He could debate an issue from either side.  He was passionate about his country, family and politics!

He met his wife Cathy while Hot Air Ballooning all across this great country!  Together they blended their families, hiked up and down many trails, mountains, caves and caverns.  He could fix or find a solution to anything.  He was employed at First Energy. He cared deeply about his faith! He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

His hobbies were many! Hiking, Walking, Hot Air Ballooning, Riding his motorcycle, sun bathing, fixing things, Sunsets and Campfires anytime of the year!!!

He was an active member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 8 and Emmaus Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Catherine (Corbitt) Fauver, daughter Jamie (Steve) Hanson, daughter Rheanna (Joshua) Fausey, daughter Alicia Williams, daughter Shara Williams, bother Warren (Sue) Fauver, sister Pamela Fauver, grandchildren Joshua Hanson, Shawn Hanson, Kayden Hanson, Marcel Williams, Madelynn Eavey, great granddaughters Harper Hanson and Reighn’leigh Hanson, along with many nieces and nephews all of whom he loved!!!

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lois (Peters) Fauver, maternal grandparents Cleo Joel and Mary B. Peters and paternal grandparents, Curtis Walter and Ida J Fauver, brother Kevin Fauver and his son Ryan Fauver.
