Funds available from the United Way of Williams County for local organizations and individuals can help get a nonprofit project off its feet, but the deadline to apply for those funds is coming up quickly. The funds, which last year were distributed to around 40 programs, are raised via workplace fundraisers, matching programs and drives, as well as through private donations from individuals and organizations. United Way of Williams County Office Administrator Chastity Yoder stated ninety-seven percent of the money raised stays in Williams County and it’s solely the decision of the community investment committee. The deadline to apply for grant funding is noon on Friday, March 31.
