Dog licenses are due by January 31st for all of man’s best friends who are older than three months old. Licenses are $16 dollars and available at the county dog pound. Owners that don’t license their dogs are subject to a fine and possible court action if the dog gets out and is picked up. If you dog does get out and has a license, the county will bring the dog back to you. Also, dogs without a license who run away are subject to being sold, destroyed or donated to become a service dog after three days in the pound.
