Deadly Crash On 22A

A Pittsford man dies behind the wheel in Williams County. Officials tell reporters William Rapes, 73, was northbound on County Road 22A in a cargo van when he went through a stop sign, smashing into a westbound semi on U.S. 6, driven by Victor Schmucker of Spencerville. Rapes was ejected from his vehicle. He died instantly. Schmucker was treated and released for minor injuries.
