DEFIANCE ANNEXATION ACCEPTED

Defi­ance City Coun­cil sealed the deal on an annex­a­tion near U.S. 24 and Car­pen­ter Road on Tues­day night by approv­ing an ordi­nance accept­ing the annex­a­tion on Com­merce Drive.

It brings about 46 acres of Rich­land Town­ship into the city next to Johns Manville’s Car­pen­ter Road plant and just south of U.S. 24.

Clemens Mobile Weld­ing has been build­ing a new facil­ity there. The annex­a­tion was requested by Clemens owner Scott Clemens and prop­erty owner Jerry Liska.
