Defiance County man enters pleas in sexual assault case

A local man entered pleas of sexual abuse charges in Defiance County Common Pleas Court. 62 year old Ronald Brown of Ohio 111, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape; one count of attempted rape with a specification that the victim was less than 10 years of age; and one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and his bond was continued. Sentencing was scheduled for 10 a.m. on May 17. The offenses charged in connection with children less than 10 years of age are related to a course of conduct occurring from approximately July 2016 through January 2017. Authorities further allege between June and September of 2006, Brown engaged in sexual conduct with a 14-year-old female.
