Defiance Defiant Against Weed

An ordinance, that prohibits medicinal marijuana facilities in Defiance, was let lie by city council. The panel tabled the ordinance that would ban all businesses associated with the cultivation, processing and dispensing of medicinal marijuana within the city limits. It will receive a second reading at council’s next meeting. The action addresses the Ohio General Assembly’s passage of a law last year, allowing the production and sale of medical marijuana in Ohio.
