Firefighters from three area fire departments were called out Sunday to a house fire in Defiance. The call came in just after 3 yesterday afternoon, and firefighters rushed to 336 Northwood Drive for a man who had reportedly caught fire. When they got there, they also found a two-story home on fire.

The burning man, according to the Crescent News, was taken to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital where an air ambulance was standing by. No word on where he was transferred, his identity, or his condition today.

Defiance crews received mutual aid from Highland and Noble township to fight the fire that had spread into the garage, attic and second floor of the home.
