Defiance man arrested and facing sexual assault charges

A Defiance man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a sexual assault of a 17 year old female that occurred in the city in March. 20 year old Timothy Moore of 21 Douglas St. was arrested on a warrant by the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office on charges of sexual battery; furnishing alcohol to minors; and furnishing a place for underage consumption. He was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio pending a court appearance in Defiance County Common Pleas Court. He was indicted in April on the charges by the Defiance County grand jury, according to Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office. The alleged incident reportedly took place at an underage party at his residence.
