A Defiance man was sentenced to prison on two child sexual abuse offenses while a rape charge was dismissed. 23 year old Triston Joost was given a 54-month prison term, according to Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office, and classified as a Tier II sexual offender. This requires the registration of his address with authorities for 25 years following his release from prison. A rape charge, a first-degree felony, was dismissed as part of plea negotiations.
