Dennis R. Fellers, 65, of Defiance, Ohio, and former resident of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in his residence.  Dennis was born November 7, 1957, in Hicksville, Ohio, son of the late Beryl E. and Betty L. (Street) Fellers.  He was a 1976 graduate of Hicksville High School.  Dennis married Nina S. Hawkins, and though that marriage ended, they remained close friends over the years.  He was a former member of the Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556.  Dennis loved sports, especially football, and would call his son Eric to discuss the latest games.  He also loved his family and cherished his grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his two children, Carissan (John Paul) Barker of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Eric (Tabitha Hatfield) Fellers of Defiance, 6 grandchildren, Aidan, Brooke, Emma, Oaklyn, Brianna, and Ryder; former wife and life-long friend, Nina S. Fellers; three siblings, Cheryl Nickels of Huntington, Indiana, Jim (Sandra) Fellers of Hicksville, and twin sister Denise (Dave) Battershell of Hicksville; and a nephew and several nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Russ Landrie; and a brother, Burl Fellers.

Visitation for Dennis R. Fellers will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.  A Memorial Service will immediately follow in the funeral home beginning at 1:00 P.M. with Celebrant Patricia Peter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
