Fred Lord, director of the Williams County Department of Job and Family Services, told county commissioners on Thursday he has reorganized the department to make it more efficient. The Bryan Times reports Lord, who took over as director a year ago, presented a reorganized flow chart to illustrate the changes, which include moving the agency’s attorney from case management to an independent position to be able to represent the entire agency. In addition, Lord brought in Amy Johnson to serve as the department’s full-time business administrator, replacing the part-time fiscal officer position and merging separate eligibility/referral specialists under the income maintenance and workforce program administrator position. The county JFS department currently employs 41.
