An arrest in Wauseon comes following the theft of Christmas Cheer cans from area convenience stores.
The Bryan Times reports that 49 year old Donald McLeod of Archbold was charged on Tuesday with theft in connection with that crime.
According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, McLeod would distract store clerks, swipe donation cans from the counter and then run. One of the stores caught his image, along with an image of his vehicle, on a security camera. The Sheriff’s Office released those images last week through Facebook and its Crime Stopper network.
The number of stores that were robbed and the amount of money stolen has not all been added up yet, but for now,
McLeod is in custody at CCNO.
