Douglas L. Zuver, 54 years, of West Unity, passed away, Thursday, November 24, 2016, in his home with his family by his side. Doug was born February 10, 1962 in Montpelier, Ohio, the son of Jimmie Linn and Betty L. (Routt) Zuver. He attended Hilltop High School. Doug was a member of the Montpelier Eagles Aerie 0712 and he rode with the Legion Riders. He enjoyed motorcycles, deer hunting, stock car racing, but he loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving are his three children, Zac (Mary Jane) Zuver of Kunkle, Jonas Zuver of West Unity and Beau Zuver of West Unity; five grandchildren, Pagan, Mallory, Jaeven, Jacyah and Bailey; his mother and stepfather, Betty (Duane) Stamm of Fayette; two brothers, Robert (Chris) Zuver of West Unity and Charlie “Alfie” Zuver of West Unity; his companion, Vicki Vaughn of Pioneer. He was preceded in death by his dad, three brothers, James Richard Zuver, Tony Marvin Zuver and Henry Vincent Zuver.
A Gathering of family and friends for Douglas L. Zuver will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Living Hope Free Methodist Church, 1051 Jackson Street, West Unity. Services will be private for the family. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity, Ohio 43570.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be given to the family to help offset expenses.
