A driver was injured Monday afternoon on I-69 when she left the roadway to prevent from colliding with a semi merging lanes. The incident happened just after 3 p.m. According to the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Department, Michaela M. Miller, age 23 of Fort Wayne, struck the cable barrier in the median with the vehicle after leaving the roadway. Reports indicate that Miller was transported to DeKalb Health for medical evaluation. A child inside the vehicle was properly secured in a child seat and did not sustain any injuries. Investigators say Miller’s vehicle was a total loss as a result of the crash.
