A Waterloo store sustained between $25,000 and $50,000 worth of damage on Wednesday night when a pickup truck drove into the front of the building. 72-year-old Robert Sanders of Defiance was pulling into the parking lot of the “Party Store” on Union Street off of U.S. 6 at about 9:45pm when the vehicle continued through the parking lot and slammed into the front of the business. Sanders told police he didn’t know what happened but a police report indicated he hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Alcohol was not involved in the accident. No injuries were reported.
