Drowning In Defiance

A Defi­ance man died Mon­day evening when he drowned in a pond on his prop­erty.

64 year old Ter­rence Kid­well of Dohoney Road, was pro­nounced dead at the scene after emer­gency per­son­nel were called just after 7 Mon­day night to the Kid­well res­i­dence. The call indi­cated that there was a per­son float­ing in the pond.

Accord­ing to a report by the Defi­ance County Sheriff’s Office, Kid­well had been on a rid­ing lawn mower and stopped at the edge of the pond. He report­edly walked to the edge of the pond, and fell in. The Sheriff’s report says he was found by his wife.
