Drug Bust In Montpelier

Two people are arrested after a traffic stop in Montpelier. Troy Smith was pulled over for a warrant. A police dog alerted his partner there were drugs in the car. Cocaine, heroin and other narcotics were seized. Smith has drug charges now to go with the warrant. A passenger in the car, identified as Elaine Trigo had a warrant for her arrest as well. Trigo also has drug charges added to that. The incident remains under investigation.
