For the first time ever, voters in the May 2 special election in Williams County will sign in using electronic poll books. The Bryan Times reports the so-called e-poll books, which are similar in size to an electronic tablet, replace the paper sign-in poll books for the May 2 special election. The e-poll books are not used as ballots, and only the sign-in process is changing. Using the new e-poll books will make voter check-in much faster and easier, Freese said Monday.
