Eagle Makes Plea

A Hillsdale, Michigan man pleads guilty to vehicular homicide from a May 2016 crash south of Pioneer that claimed his passenger. Scottie Eagle was driving north on County Road 15, when he lost control of his SUV, south of County Road P. The vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and rolled several times before coming to a rest on its passenger side in a field. His passenger, William Dunning, was pronounced dead at the scene. Eagle could be sentenced to as much as five years in prison during his sentencing, which is slated for Aug. 16.
