Earl Lovetinsky, 86

Earl F. Lovetinsky, 86 years, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.  Earl was born June 6, 1927 in Champaign, Illinois, the son of the late Fred Patrick and Bertha Charlotte (Knott) Lovetinsky.  Earl was a Press Operator for Bard Manufacturing in Bryan.  He has also worked at the former Holibird Corporation, Fifty/Five Corporation in West Unity as well as Bryan Custom Plastics.  Earl also was a mail carrier for 10 years working from the Bryan Post Office.  He was formerly affiliated with Lick Creek Church of the Brethren in Bryan.  He enjoyed gardening, caring for his flowers, woodworking and landscaping for others.

Surviving is his daughter, Debra Marvin of Fort Wayne, IN; two sons, Rodney (Diane) Lovetinsky of Defiance, Ohio and James Lovetinsky of Bryan; three grandchildren, Jeff Lovetinsky, Jason (Jennifer) Marvin and Dustin Marvin; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Cameron Marvin; one sister, Rachel Grim of Bryan and his life partner, Don Mettert Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Gorom, Mary Roudabush and Patsy Zigler.

Visitation for Earl F. Lovetinsky will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 with Pastor Nancy Burkhiser and Dorothy Ritchey-Moore officiating.  Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery, rural Bryan with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the Bryan VFW Post 2489.
