Edon man charged in prostitution investigation

Police in Edon have arrested 45-year-old man on a charge of compelling a minor to engage in prostitution, that’s a third degree felony. He was arrested at his job as co-manager of Bomber’s Saloon and Steakhouse on New Year’s Eve about 5 p.m. Edon police say the arrest came after a long-term investigation by the department. Johnston was contacted by the Bryan Times and they say he vehemently denied the validity of the charges and offered no comment. The restaurant is not part of the alleged crime, so it is open for business. Johnston has a previous conviction for domestic violence in 2013. After his recent arrest, he was released on his own recognizance and has a court date on January 11th.
