Ellis Conley, 69

Ellis Ray Conley, 69 years of Waterloo, Indiana, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ellis was born December 7, 1954, in Mansfield, Ohio, the son of the late Bennie and Madaline (Curry) Conley. He was a graduate of Homer High School, Homer, Michigan. Ellis served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, until his honorable discharge. Ellis married Brenda Kay Barnett on November 12, 1977, in Jonesville, Michigan, and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2013. Ellis was a laborer, working for several area companies, including Maintenance on Wheels in Butler, Indiana, SPX Contact in Auburn, Indiana, Hudson Industries in Hudson, Indiana and Addison Products in Jonesville, Michigan. Ellis enjoyed camping, traveling, cooking out and spending time with his family. He loved to watch old western movies with John Wayne in them.

Surviving are his three daughters, Virginia (Lorenzo) Fuentes of Angola, Indiana, Marilyn (Luz) Cruz of Nashville, Indiana, and Kimberly (Devin) Briskey of Waterloo, Indiana; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Brenda; two sons, Tommy Ray Conley and James Lee Conley as well as four brothers.

There will be no visitation or services at this time. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Hamilton, Indiana.
