Fair Tensions Surface

Ongo­ing ten­sions between the Defi­ance County Fair Foun­da­tion and the county’s fair board sur­faced at the county com­mis­sion­ers’ meet­ing ear­lier this week. The Cres­cent News reports that on Mon­day, sev­eral mem­bers of each organization’s board were on hand for the com­mis­sion­ers’ reg­u­lar ses­sion. Some dif­fer­ences between the fair foun­da­tion — which raises money for fair­grounds projects, includ­ing the recently installed grand­stand and the fair board have report­edly arisen. One con­cerns the fair­grounds’ new hog barn.
