A Defiance man is killed early Sunday in a solo crash on County Road 424, near Overly Road in Richland Township. Jacob Elders, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Defiance County coroner. Investigators say Elders’ vehicle went out of control on a curve, struck a tree and caught on fire. The accident remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
