Fayette man pleads guilty to charge of reckless homicide

A Fayette man, 27 year James Doan III, who was charged with reckless homicide in connection to an overdose death last year in Napoleon pleaded guilty to the charge Thursday in Henry County Common Pleas Court and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. The indictments followed an investigation by the Multi-Area Narcotics (MAN) Unit into the overdose death of 45 year old Wayne Helms Jr. Charges of possession of heroin and aggravated trafficking in drugs were dismissed at sentencing. Helms died in the emergency room at the Henry County Hospital. A July trial date had originally been set for Doan.
