Fight Leads To Charges

Ashley Police breaks up a dispute between neighbors on Chapel Lane. On the way, officers were updated that a male fired multiple rounds from a handgun into the air. He was quickly placed into custody. A search discovered the weapon involved. Dennis Elftmann, of Ashley, was arrested and charged with criminal recklessness while in possession of a deadly weapon. Steuben County investigators are helping in the case.
