Commuters who drive on South Clinton Street in Defiance will be getting some good news later today. A construction schedule provided by the city of Defiance notes that traffic on South Clinton Street should be restored by the end of the day. Only northbound travel has been allowed on South Clinton since March when a widening project there got underway. Asphalt was placed last week while pavement markings and sign installation were to be completed today. According to the city, the new traffic signal at South Clinton and Downs streets was also scheduled to be in operation Tuesday.
