Fire Near Garrett

A firefighter is hurt in a blaze that completely destroys a home south of Garrett. Crews responded to the scene to find a manufactured home with a sun-room addition in flames. A member of the Jackson Township Fire Department fell through the roof. He suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to Parkview Regional. A resident was able to escape the burning structure with the family dogs and called 911. She was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
