In 2025, there have been three shooting deaths in Toledo and multiple other non-fatal shootings. First responders are reminding people to call 911 and wait for emergency personnel, rather than trying to take themselves to the emergency room. In a recent shooting in south Toledo, the victim and two other people tried to go to the hospital themselves. A 911 call was made by someone in the car, and after receiving the vehicle’s description, officers stopped the car.
