The Blanchard River in Ottawa crested at 28.85 feet at 3 p.m. Monday. Flood stage is 23 feet.

That crest, 28.85 feet, marks the sixth highest historical crest for the river in Ottawa.

The highest crest was 33.3 feet on March 13, 1913. The highest crest in the last decade was 31.4 feet on Aug. 23, 2007.

Meanwhile, a meeting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to discuss flood mitigation plans for the Blanchard River in Ottawa and Findlay has now been delayed until February.
