Food Pantries Need Your Help

Some area food pantries have enough food. Oth­ers how­ever, need more… some a lot more.

In Defi­ance County, most food pantries report so far so good, but some in Defi­ance say a rise in the num­ber of clients brings with it a great need for more dona­tions.

At the Catholic Comm-unity Food Pantry at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Defi­ance, they report a lot of new peo­ple com­ing in and a lot of peo­ple who have not been in for sev­eral years are back. They report to be in def­i­nite need of more dona­tions of both food items and funds.

Other area pantries report the same. If you can make a dona­tion, of either food or money, you are asked to get in touch with your local food pantry to find out how you can best help them dur­ing this hol­i­day season.
