The Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio board agrees to convert the regional jail’s C-Unit to an honors unit. The move was recommended by CCNO staff…after the regional jail was not awarded a $3.1 million dollar state grant. It would have funded an upgrade to include new locks, sinks, toilets and other items in each of the 48 cells of C-Unit, which consists of 32 individual cells and 16 double-bunked cells. This idea…and it’s much lower costs…is hoped to solve the question.
