Ball State University economic researchers say the most undervalued city in the state of Indiana is Fort Wayne, and it is more likely for an economic and development turnaround than other areas of Indiana. The average income in Fort Wayne went up 5% last year, faster than the rate in 14 similar sized cities in the Midwest. A 71 million dollar mixed use project in downtown with the headquarters for Ash Brokerage as its anchor will result in 115 jobs paying an average 60 thousand each.
