Four County Education Association approves vote of ‘No Confidence’ in Superintendent.

The Four County Joint Vocational School Education Association approved a vote of ‘No Confidence’ in the District Board of Education’s Superintendent Jeffery Slattery, citing a pervasive culture of hostility and harassment within the district, as well as a consistent effort to disregard and silence the voices of educators and staff.
“This decision is a direct response to the systemic problems within our district. Our educators are the backbone of the educational system. The superintendent’s leadership style has fostered a climate where educators no longer feel safe to express their concerns or contribute to decisions that directly impact students’ futures,” said Morgan Weber, the President of FCJVSEA. “Our priority is the well-being of our students, and to serve them effectively, we must ensure that our educators are supported, heard, and respected.”
The vote, which received unanimous support from FCJVSEA members, highlights the deep
dissatisfaction of educators who report feeling disrespected, unsupported, and disregarded
under Slattery’s leadership, which dates to January of 2023.
