Fred Hinderer, 85

Frederick E. “Fred” Hinderer, age 85, of Wauseon, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. Prior to his retirement he had worked as a bookkeeper for Zehr and Company in Pettisville for many years. He was a former secretary for the Fulton County Fair.

Fred was born in Fulton County, Ohio on April 25, 1930, the son of Emil and Elsie (Shade) Hinderer. He owned race horses for Harness Racing and also spent a lot of time with Tom and Chris Elling and sponsored their late-model race car.

Surviving is his sister, Dorothea (James) Dixon of Miramar Beach, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Kathryn Kutzley, Mary Delventhal and Emily Farison.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
